POSITION OVERVIEW

The primary of focus of the TMC Program Manager is supporting schools to serve systemically marginalized students and exceptional learners, particularly students with disabilities.

The TMC offers robust, centralized expertise and supports that promote compliant, effective, and innovative practices to support member schools in serving students with barriers to academic achievement. TMC Program Managers provide direct supports to schools in the form of coaching, technical assistance, and professional development. The Program Manager closely collaborates with the TMC team to monitor and maximize the organization’s delivery of holistic supports to schools in the areas of special education and other federal programs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

SCHOOL SUPPORTS: 75%

  • Provide tailored, individualized supports at school sites – will include statewide travel
  • Partner with and provide feedback to school leaders on inclusive programming
  • Provide remote and onsite technical assistance to school staff, with an emphasis on special education providers and coordinators
  • Deliver trainings related to inclusive practices and compliance to special education and general education teams onsite at schools and/or remotely via video conference
  • Develop compliance resources to support schools in implementing federal and state programs designed to serve systemically underserved students
  • Conduct special education file reviews and support case managers in maintaining compliance in alignment with state and federal guidelines

PROJECT MANAGEMENT: 15%

  • Work effectively with the TMC team to monitor and support the delivery of holistic supports to schools in the areas of special education and other federal programs
  • Facilitate the collection and analysis of data on school performance and impact of TMC services
  • Maintain and update TMC resources related to inclusion, special education compliance, and supporting the needs of systemically underserved students

CONTRIBUTE TO TMC STRATEGY: 10%

  • Partner with the TMC team to maximize the TMC’s impact by contributing to and implementing the TMC’s strategic plan

  • Provide additional support across the organization by leading and participating in additional projects as needed

  • At least five years of experience working in education

  • Ability to communicate effectively with and build consensus among people of varied backgrounds and experiences
  • Mastery of managing competing demands and quickly determining top priorities with a large-scale project
  • Ability to create, adjust, and implement strategic work plans
  • Strong writing, presentation, and facilitation skills
  • Committed to creating flexible solutions that meet schools’ various needs
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • This position requires flexibility to travel to work site, a valid Washington Driver’s License, and proof of minimum state required insurance

  • Work from home and work from/at school site; monthly in-person team meetings

  • Occasional state-wide travel, driving own vehicle or flying at the TMC’s expense
